Message from BTC -

Would it be possible for all clubs to check their trailers from the weekend as BTC rowing club has lost a set of pair riggers. Possibly marked up as SAXON - the Riggers are old Stainless Steel Riggers and are Very Heavy - the old Type

If found please contact Kaye Hume at BTC - m.hulme@tiscali.co.uk

Woolston Regatta. Saturday, 16th June. 2018. Note from Regatta Secretary.

Southampton Amateur Rowing Club would like to thank everyone that attended and helped out at yesterdays regatta for all their patience understanding and perseverance with the conditions that we battled through. All the clubs came together and helped each other get afloat and back again which was very challenging. Fortunately we managed to get through most of the program.
Thank you to all.

J16 Single Sculling Events at Swanage Regatta on Saturday, 23rd June, 2018.

Some of you may have noted that in the draft program for next Saturdays Swanage Regatta - on Saturday, 23rd June - that J16 Single Sculls event for Boys and Girls has been included even though they were not events offered in the invitation letter.

I believe that this slip-up was caused in part by it being a different person sending out the invitation than the person who dose the draw - a situation probably unique to Swanage - but also teething problems with the "new" entry form where in spite of the statement "Check events on offer" - the drop down lists these events - so a couple of clubs saw the events on the drop down and just went with it. I guess when we review we need to amend this and stress the need to check events on offer.

They events are difficult to withdraw once the program is published and it is nice to include these events - although it does heap further pressure on the regatta - so we have agreed to continue as per published program and stage the events - however other clubs are clearly entitled to make entries - so - as it will start at the turns - and the turning buoys will not be required (half course - as are all J16 events) additional entries will be accepted up to a maximum of nine crews, on a "first come first serve" basis - but please note there are no Trophies and may not be any individual trophies for these events. t round to this effect. There will NOT be a late entry fee charged.

Entries should be sent to - Sue Sothcott on  sue.sothcott@honeywell.com and Tim Bull at  timothy.bull@tiscali.co.uk - and copied to stephencbull@gmail.com - or entries should be made on the day at control.

With our apologies for the confusion.
