The next South Coast Championships Rowing Regatta to be hosted by the Hants & Dorset Amateur Rowing Association and will take place on Saturday, 14th September, 2024 at the Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley, Southampton - the same venu as the 2021 Championships.

The Course – Start, Umpires and Judging.

The course is just over 1800m but may be shortened to suit conditions – the course for the Junior Racing is 910m. The finishing umpires will be on land using the Netley Sailing Club finish hut or a small Gazebo.  Starting will be afloat from a very suitable boat – with cover and a toilet. The Start line will have fixed poles on the beach.  The start boat will be on the outside of the course so Lane Number 1 will also be on the outside. The outside of the course will be marked by a series of yellow buoys plus an orange inflatable buoy behind the line. Regatta is expected to start at around 10am and is due to finish around 5.30-6.00pm. High Water is at 9.13am – a Neap Tide at 3.8m - and Low water is at 14.30pm – 2.0m - with a further High Water at 21:33 – 3.9m. The Umpires boats will be two 8m ribs and will operate with one boat start to half way, other boat half way to finish. The officials will go afloat from a small slipway at the Sailing Club but will involve a boat to boat transfer.
