British Rowing - First class volunteers

Celebrating the unsung heroes of our sport, British Rowings annual Volunteer and Coach of the Year Awards took place at the historic setting of Watermen’s Hall, London on Saturday 15 November. For the Wessex & South East Coast Region the awards went to - Overall Winners – Steve Bull, Tim Bull, Gary Joyce, Sue Sothcott, Peter Staddon for their leading involvment in organising the South Coast Rowing Championship in 2007, 2011 and 2014. Administrative Category Winner – Andrew Parsons, Southampton Coalporters ARC. Open Category Winner – Peter Jacobs, Poole ARC.

Reminder - British Rowing Annual Club Safety Audit

Annual BR Club Safety Audit is now open for 2014 submissions - and these need to be submitted by the 31st December, 2014 at the latest or your Club risks suspension from BR & local events. Club Safety Advisers need to login to the audit at: https://apps.britishrowing.org/audit/ using their British Rowing username and password

Minutes of Wessex Regional Rowing Council Meetings

From the meeting of 23/9/14 we hope to have the minutes of the Wessex Meetings available to download in pdf format from their Calender entry on the home page of the H&D ARA Web site - www.hdara.co.uk The minutes of the September and November 2014 Meetings plus the NOvember AGM are now available. You will need to click on"Look for earlier events" at the top of the diary section to back track to the meeting required where you should find the minutes in pdf format.

Worthing Rowing Club - new Club Secretary
