Bob Sivier’s funeral details.

Bob Siviers funeral will take place on Thursday 24th August at 1pm at the Wessex Vale Crematorium West End.
Family flowers only, but donations can be made to Hants & I-O-W Air Ambulance or the PDSA.
Dress code, Club blazer or smart casual.

Southampton Amateur Rowing Club are sad to announce the passing earlier this week of Life Vice President Bob Sivier. Bob was a much loved member of our club and the wider Associations. 

Bob had an active and successful rowing career, highlighted by winning the H&D and SCC Senior Men's Championship in 1960 and 61 for SARC. 

Following on from his rowing career Bob was still very much an active part of the community and was a Life Vice President of SARC as well as Life Vice President of Hants & Dorset ARA, and serving as President of the association 1998-99. He was also a Life Member of the South Coast Council. 

Details of Bob's funeral will follow in due course. 

Poole Regatta. Saturday, 22nd July, 2023. POOLE REGATTA POSTPONED TO SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER

POOLE REGATTA POSTPONED TO SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER

 Poole Regatta Committee have made the decision to postpone their regatta this weekend due to the forecasted strong winds.

Poole will be rescheduling their regatta to Saturday 2nd September - please message out to your members to keep this day free as it will be excellent preparation for the South Coast Championships in Folkestone two weeks later.

Even though the last H&D Regatta of the season will now be Poole, the H&D will still hold the delegates meeting AFTER Woolston Regatta on Sat 19th August to determine the crews appointed to represent the association at the South Coast Championships. This enables the association to enter the crews with Folkstone and allows clubs and crews to prepare and train accordingly. In the event of crews still tying for first or second place positions in their respective championships at the completion of Woolston Regatta, Poole Regatta will be used as a deciding race to confirm positions and if required, championship representatives.
