Southsea Regatta, Saturday, 25th June, 2022. CANCELLED.

We have been notified by Southsea that due to the weather forecast their Regatta tomorrow - Saturday, 25th June, 2022 is cancelled!

 

All,
I'm sorry to say we have decided to call off Southsea regatta tomorrow - hopefull you've already heard via different routes however sending out via email on the program distriution list to clubs / association secretaries / regatta officials for completeness.
The regatta committe have been keeping an eye on the weather over the last few days and the course and conditions are not good. Tomorrow's forecast has stronger winds and a less favourable wind direction and is due to deteriorate throughout the day. This means conditions would be very difficult to start with and racing would probably be called off around midday. It's not the choice we wanted to make but feel it's the only sensible option.
